The night had gone by without a hitch, the sorting had gone through and the dinner was rather tasty as always. The night was perfect so far, he had picked her up from her room in the tower. He had brought her chocolates and roses like some cheesy date would. And a flower to place on her desk. He never knew how to handle dates or anything. He was all fidgety and nervous the entire walk down the halls, his arm looped with her's as if they were a couple.
They entered the hall together, the student body went quiet seeing her and him before going back to speaking. He looked around wondering where he was going to sit. He knew the teacher's table was for them but should he sit near her or away from her. He decided he would sit near her. Pulling her seat out for her, he let her sit down before taking his own seat by her. His hand resting on her's shaking lightly as he waited for the food. This night was going good so far he had hoped it would remain that way.
Razeil finished eating his meal and half his pumpkin pasty before wrapping the other half up and setting it aside near his jacket, "For Fleckle, He might forgive me this year if I bring him one. You know?" He obviously hadn't told her why his owl hated him nor the roll the pumpkin pasty had played in his past with the owl. He had dressed up in black with trimmed silver and silver accents. His dress robes....very very handsome. In reality, his robes were just a modified tux with a simple jacket that represented the Slytherin house and Black Family crests.
He stood up placing his and her jacket off to the side pulling her gently out of he seat as the tables, food, and benches would vanish to bring in new circular tables under the clear dark sky. Stars shining brightly in various places, a few shooting stars and the waxing crescent moon hung in the enchanted ceiling. Razeil smiled to her as he waited on her to say something not sure what else to do or if she wanted to Dance. He wasn't sure she liked dancing, what if she didn't want to dance with him, but want to leave. He fidgeted a bit wondering if she had had a horrible time or a good time...what if he was a horrible date...this could end so bad.

Victoria smiled. Tonight was going well, she thought. Listening to Razeil talk about his owl made her giggle. Sounded like serious business, the owl forgiving him. He pulled her up, and she stood, taking his hang willingly. Standing in her sleek blue dress, she wondered if it'd been too much, if she'd overdressed. It was a bit risque for her taste, but she knew Razeil would enjoy it all the same.
Now it was time. Her favorite part of the new Hogwarts was the after-Feast dance, a chance for students to socialize and get to know one another, and a chance for staff to get their boogie on as well, as muggles liked to say. She looked to him, seeing him wonder about what she wanted past this point. Turning to him and taking his other hand, she smiled. "Let's dance." Victoria may have been using this as an excuse to not have to go stag, or maybe to show off, but she did think of Razeil fondly. She thought it cute how he was so nervous in front of her, and she was more than happy to relax as he led her out onto the dance floor. Maybe they would be the shining couple of the year. Maybe she'd live a fairytale and have the entire room part as they walked out and danced. She didn't know, but this was all looking to have a very happy ending to her.

The crowd did indeed part, being the first teachers to get out on the dance floor. Razeil led her through them as the students stood in awe watching the beautiful Ms Parker with the handsomely odd Mr. Black walk out onto the dance floor. Razeil pulled her along before turned, blue eyes looking down on her as he smiled. "Did you like the rose?" He asked wondering if she had been shocked when she went back to her room to find that the white rose wasn't what it had seemed. He slipped his hand along her side, to her hip where he kept it there.
His other hand holding her hand lightly as he danced slowly in the small open area the students had given them. He stood very close to her as his hair was framing his blue eyes while looking down on her. His lips curled into a smile as his heart was racing in his chest. He couldn't believe he was out on the floor dancing with Victoria. He didn't pry his eyes from her as he spun with her gently in tune to the music. He wondered why the band had picked a slow song to begin the night with, but he was suddenly very much happy they did. The younger kids were the last to pick partners and dancing. Soon, Razeil and Victoria was swallowed in the crowd of dancing students mimicking their teachers. The Head of Slytherin holding the Head of Ravenclaw in his arms as he led her in the dance.

Victoria smiled warmly at his mention of her gift. "I loved it. I've named him Alabaster and given him a cage with a nice perch, I might train him to fly around and come back to me. Very creative." His hand slipped down to her hip, and she prepared to dance with him. What if he was better than her at dancing? What if she screwed up and stepped on his nice shoes? What if he was a terrible dancer? More importantly, why was she worried about all this? It was just a dance, and she'd only known him a few hours. Or..well...re-knew him...She didn't know. She thought she recognized the name from school, but he was older than her, and wouldn't have had many classes with her. Still, she wanted to be close to him. A strange feeling for a lady who hasn't had a relationship since her early years in school. She spun around him, her dark eyes lifting up to meet his bright blue ones, and for the first time in a very long time, she was happy. "Razeil, thank you for coming with me to the dance. I'm very happy you did. The night has been absolutely amazing," she said to him with a smile. Feeling a blush come on, she lowered her head as to not let him see. She let a few tendrils from her now curled updo fall in her face as the blush settled and she looked back up at him. Tonight was wonderful.

Razeil kept the lead going, his inner voice keeping him on tempo as he danced with her, his hand holding her's and her hip. He would looked at her with blue eyes, curious on why she kept looking away from him. Razeil knew he had seen those eyes, those lips, that smile in his past. He wondered where when it had hit him. Back in his first trip through Hogwarts, as a student, she had been there. Though younger than him, she was there. He smiled warmly thinking back to what he was back then. A true Slytherin, he recalled doing the slug vomit curse on several of his fellow Slytherin just because they spoke about blood ties and such. He really was a clever devious man deep inside.
Memories spilling into his head, he recalled how he had sometimes picked fights with people just to show them they were all talk. He wasn't against his house, just didn't like how they all spoke so highly of themselves only to be weak in the end. He remember this girl though. She walked with pride, with the ability to take what ever came at her. He found it appealing and had admired her from afar. "I...remember you from school Victoria. You were always in my eyes you know. Though I doubt you noticed me from back then. I was thinner, paler, and had hardly any stubble when I didn't shave. That didn't come in like it does now til much later." He laughed as he pulled her closer without thinking.
His heart was pounding in his chest as he stared at her not backing down. His blue eyes confident and knew what he wanted. Something his eyes rarely revealed other than insanity. If she was as smart as he put her to be, if he wasn't careful you would figure out his act. Pulling his eyes from her letting her win that time with those eyes. He sighed as he smiled. "It has been a very amazing night. I don't want it to end just yet to be honest Victoria."

She turned with him, lost in the music, lost in those blue eyes that pierced her soul. Nothing else existed at this point, only him and her and the music and the feeling of being close to someone. She wanted to pull back, not let herself get entangled in a relationship. Love was so beneath her. It was a sport for children. And here she was, feeling all fluttery and lovey and warm towards a man she'd only met a few hours ago. What'd happened to her? Why was she so willing to be open with him? "Yes, I think I remember you. Kind of scraggly looking, a bit older than me. You were cute then, too." She smiled, looking up at him. "I dont want the night to end either. I just want to dance with you and talk. This has been an amazing night thus far though." She lay her head on his chest as they danced, soaking in the feeling and hearing his heart beat beneath his robes. Victoria was happy.

Razeil held her close to him, his breath light on her neck as he smiled. Sighing he let his words slowly wash over her. "This night could not possibly get any better without it raining chocolate frogs and hailing grass flavored beans...." He laughed softly in her ear before nuzzling her absentmindedly. He pulled back and blushed, "I uh....I didn't mean to do that. Please don't take it the wrong way. I uh..." He looked around before sighing. He never once stopped dancing with her as he fumbled with his words at his obvious mistake. He hadn't meant to nuzzle her, had he? He knew he wanted to but had he actually meant to now?
