YOU ARE ALL WRITERS. Obviously. And NOVEMBER happens to be what some of us call National Novel Writing Month, aka NaNoWriMo. Basically....you write a 50,000+ word novel. In a month. This is the goal. By achieving this goal...
So uhm, yeah. Questions to discuss:
- Have you ever participated in NaNoWriMo? If yes, have you ever...
[/li][li]Would you be interested in participating this year? [/li][li]If yes, would you be interested in an online group?! [Some of us like to get together in groups to write, and work kind of as a team but on our own thing.] [/li][li]If you plan on participating this year, what kind of ideas do you have? Will you be using any of your OC's from N4PD? Don't give us your whole novel; but we like to know what ideas people are using and bounce off each other etc. [/li][/ul] Basically, if you're interested and have never heard of such an insane idea, you may visit here for more details. DISCUSSION COMMENCE. [/blockquote] <3 Courtney

Never heard of this, but seriously? 50,000 word novel? Thats..wow. Just wow. It takes me (roughly) two-three weeks to get one chapter done (roughly 25-30 pages) in the novel I'm working on. Good luck to whoever tries to participate. As fun as this sounds, I'm out. Lol.

Oh, nanowrimo. How our love/hate relationship continues. <3
If I participate this year, it will be my third year. I haven't won yet, unfortunately. The first year I participated I got the flu, twice. The second year I got sick during the middle and never caught up. =/
I have my ideas. But I'm not willing to share them yet. I'm kind of weird about that. However, if I do participate this year, I would gladly join an online writing group. =]
Nepharet
Eli, the purpose of nanowrimo is to create your zero draft and just get everything out there instead of wasting time.

Ooo. That makes alot more sense. In my head I'm going, 50,000 pages..that would take me close to, I dunno 3 years at my going rate. Makes more sense if it's a zero draft. I don't have many of those. Mostly rough outlines at this rate.
Hope you get to finish yours this year Nepharet! -Rooting for whoever enters-

Well, I'm fairly certain there's no books in existence that are 50,000 pages. And 50,000 words is actually only half the size of the average novel. So in all actuality, it's really not that ridiculous. The daily word count is less than an average essay or paper.
Even the worst of writers can accomplish it with a little effort and no major conflicts.

I said pages didn't I? I read pages too. T_T My brain is not working. Need to really get the zombie off of it. -Nods-
Still, its a bit intimidating. Might take a shot at it, but... probably won't. Too busy I think to do it and feel okay with how it turns out. Good luck to everyone who does enter!

I won last year! It was pretty awesome. Anyway. Yeah, it's actually not that difficult. The point is to just write. Don't worry about editing, don't worry about proofreading, etc...this is from the site itself:

Excited for the challenge. Hopefully I can buckle down and not make it too ADHD.
