Thadeus Nicholas Banner was born in Devonshire England, the product of a swift and storybook romance between a Muggle woman and a wizard who happened to be on holiday in the countryside. Banner Senior had stopped into a small pub on a rainy night and after several pints became quite enthralled with the beautiful young woman who had been serving him. Several weeks later they were married. Thad was their first and only born.Belongings:
Doctor Nicholas Banner, who had long kept his own practice in London, also served on the board at Saint Mungo's. But such was his fascination with his new Muggle bride that he kept a quiet life with her in a small village, their son Thadeus coming to them only a year after their nuptials.
Sadly, Misses Julia Spring Banner was killed shortly after her son's birth, in a tragic automobile accident. With a new found hatred for Muggle transportation and a broken heart, Doctor Banner moved his son to London, where he took a full time position at Saint Mungo's and shortly after married a plain and scrutinizing woman by the name of Ramilda Page. Ramilda's family owned a very prosperous Apothecary near Diagon alley.
Growing up a typical wizard boy in a wizarding family, Thad had a comfortable existence, if not boring. His step-mother was a cold woman who had little time for affection and his father was seldom home. He'd never been the same since the death of his first wife and Thad hadn't known her beyond the one memory of her which he clung to, a lullaby she would sing to him as he drifted to sleep.
Thad kept a picture of his mother in his room, smiling, sitting barefoot on the banks of a small brook behind their cottage in Devonshire. His father had said it was taken the day they were engaged and Thad could only wonder at her happiness. It seemed a far removed and alien thing from the rigid and numb upbringing he had known.
At age eleven, Thad received his letter to Hogwarts. Like all first-years he was nervous about his sorting but he also knew that for generations the Banners had been sorted into Hufflepuff House. Following his most ordinary life thus far, he figured he would be the same. Oddly enough, he was wrong. The hat gave him a choice. Ravenclaw, for he was a clever lad, and would do well. Thadeus didn't linger over the decision. Hufflepuff, yes that's where he belonged. It made sense, after all, and his Father didn't like surprises.
In his second year, Thad made the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, a Chaser with a need for speed. Rocketing across the pitch on his Cleansweep Seven, Thad was transformed. He felt alive, removed from an existence that suffocated him. It was also in his second year that he discovered he had a knack for healing..just as his father did. A teammate had broken his fingers during a rather intense practice, and as if it were second nature, Thad righted the dislocation with ease.
Thad never fancied being like his father. He didn't want that life, but it would seem the magic had chosen him for greater works. Even now he feels drawn in to the infirm, the need to heal them welling from deep within.
Thad's a good student, when he wants to be, but isn't always able to escape the desire for mischief. Even now, in his final term at Hogwarts, Thad feels restless. Looking to the future he can see nothing for himself, only the dark expanse of stars that blanket the night. What is meant for him?
